About the Author
The first hint of author Stephanie Davidson’s talent for storytelling came in 1984 when she unexpectedly received a high school trophy for her contribution to the school magazine.
Then in 2000 her song ‘Love of the Lasting Kind’ insisted on being written and recorded, and soon earned her a place at the finals of the New Zealand Gold Guitar Awards. The song went on to feature on Canterbury radio station Country 88 on full rotation for three months, and take the number one spot several times over by audience vote.
However it was not until 2009, when she took a University of Canterbury evening course in ‘How to Write Your First Novel’, (tutored by New Zealand author Jenny Haworth) that her creative writing skills truly came to the fore, and once Stephanie grasped the 'golden rule' of writing, the story simply flooded onto the page. Once the book was finished and made available to others, Stephanie soon discovered that the truths expressed in her book hold universal appeal.
